Allium is a Proof of Work (PoW) algorithm specifically designed for Garlicoin. Garlicoin was running on the Scrypt-N, but after several ASIC machines were found to be mining it, a hard fork was implemented and the Allium algorithm was born. Currently, Allium is only used by one cryptocurrency, Garlicoin (GRLC).
