We are looking forward to meeting up with as many local SAFE Network, blockchain, and bitcoin fans as possible for an informal evening of discussion and socialising. We welcome MaidSafe long-time enthusiasts as well as beginners. So don't feel like you have to be an expert to join us!
In the past, we have had a mixture of introduction and technical talks by Maidsafe staff members. This time around, to add a bit of variety to our diet, we will have a guest from Maidsafe as usual, but we will also have a guest talking about Blockstack.
First up will be our Maidsafe guest: Jim Collinsion, MaidSafe’s User Experience Designer.
Jim is a UX designer who gained over 10 years experience in the Music industry, building digital music services and open, network connected, stream systems. He’s now part of the team at MaidSafe, creating a new, decentralised, autonomous web, called the SAFE Network. Designed for freedom of expression, control of personal data, secure communications—and a whole new digital economy.
After more than a decade of research and development, the SAFE Network is nearing completion, and we can begin to see exactly how transformational it will be for the Internet as we know it, so Jim will take you on a tour of the many facets of the network, and what it will mean for individual end-users like you. You’ll also get a peek behind the curtain of SAFE’s UX Roadmap, and what to expect for launch, and beyond.
It will be the perfect opportunity to get all of your questions about usability answered.
Next we will hear from Mike Cohen, Founder of Radicle Society. Mike will talk about Blockstack and their solution for decentralised user data, and app mining. He will also introduce us to his two entries in app mining - dbid.io and radicle.art.
