Grøstl Coins

Grøstl is a tweaked version of its predecessor, called Grøstl-0, which was a hashing algorithm submitted to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) hash function competition back in 2012. It was in the one five finalists, along with Keccak, Skein, JH and Blake. It was created by a team of cryptographers from Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and TU Graz, named Praveen Gauravaram, Lars Knudsen, Krystian Matusiewicz, Florian Mendel, Christian Rechberger, Martin Schläffer, and Søren S. Thomsen. The name "Grøstl" refers to an Austrian dish that is very similar to hash, or food. It is a multilingual play on words. The ultimate winner of the competition was Keccak.

Currently, we list 8 cryptocurrencies for the Grøstl algorithm.
